ABB Bank Supports the Publication of an Economics Book for Children

30 May, 2025

ABB Bank has successfully implemented another project aimed at helping children develop knowledge and skills in economics from an early age. The Bank published a well-known book in this field by Polish author Grzegorz Kasdepke in Azerbaijani. The book was presented ahead of International Children’s Day on June 1.

Titled “The Wallet and the Strange Creatures That Live in It,” the book is a unique resource designed to help young children understand economic concepts in an accessible and engaging way. It consists of 51 interconnected stories about economics. Economic terms are personified and presented through fairy-tale-like stories, making their meaning easier for children to understand and remember. Young readers can learn about concepts such as investment, budgeting, income, payment cards, debit, credit, installments, margins, GDP and more. Copies of the book will be donated to children’s libraries.

Kasdepke’s book was first pulished in Poland in 2015 and has since been translated into several languages. For the past 10 years, children in different countries around the world have been reading the book with great interest.

ABB Bank implemented the project to translate and publish the book in Azerbaijani in partnership with TEAS Press Publishing House.

It should also be noted that ABB Bank recently launched the Alpha Card for children from Generation Alpha. This debit card is designed to meet children’s financial service needs under parental supervision. Alpha Card is fully digital, providing an end-to-end digital experience from ordering to receiving the card. Parents can order an Alpha Card for their children aged 7 to 17 through the ABB mobile app.
