Management

Born in 1980. Graduated from Azerbaijan State Economic University with master degree in Finance and Credit. He also holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa (IE Business School) (Madrid) and an EMPA degree in Public Administration from the London School of Economics (LSE).  Since 1999 held various positions at different commercial banks of the country. From December, 2016 to March, 2018 Khalid Ahadov held the position of the Chairman of the Board of the ABB. Since August 2018, is an assistant to the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Since November 2022, is an assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on social-economic issues. 

Born in 1974. Graduated from Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Faculty of Commerce with a degree in International Economic Relations. Graduated from Florida State University with MSc in Economics and John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, with master degree in Public Administration. Has PhD degree in Economics.  Since 1998 he held various positions at World Bank, International Monetary Fund representative office in Azerbaijan, Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic and Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan Republic. Since August 2018, is an assistant to the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Born in 1975, Matin Eynullayev graduated from Baku State University with a law degree.

He has worked as an adviser in a private law firm, chief lawyer at the Social Protection Fund for the Disabled under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, chief Advisor of the Corporate Governance Sector of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan, head of section at the Icheri Sheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve. In 2013-2016, he worked as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chief of Staff, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy Minister of Taxes, Deputy Chief of the State Service for Property under the Ministry of Economy.

Mr. Matin Eynullayev is the Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Investment Holding and the Chief of the State Service for Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy.

Born in 1977. Graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a bachelor's and master's degree in Finance and Credit. In 2004 graduated from the Finance Department of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics. Holds a PhD degree in economics. Graduated from the Fulbright Post-Doctoral Program at the Department of Finance, George Washington University, USA.

Mr. Ismaylov started his career in 2002 at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and held various positions, including Director of the Statistics Department. Since December 2019, Mr. Fakhri Ismayilov has been working as an Assistant to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Mr. Fakhri Ismayilov is currently the Secretary of the Supervisory Board of Azerbaijan Investment Holding.

Born in 1981. Graduated from Baku State University with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and from Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a Master's degree in Finance. Participated in an exchange program at Roosevelt University in the United States in 2000-2001. Holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.

Since 2005, has held various positions in prominent business organizations, including Unibank. In 2019, became an adviser to the Supervisory Board of ABB. In 2020, appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of ABB Invest.

Born in 1969. Graduated from Azerbaijan State Economic University with a degree in Economics and from the University of Texas with a degree in Finance. He also holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University.

Since 1997, has held various positions at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Currently, is the permanent representative of the IFC in Mongolia.

Abbas Ibrahimov was born in 1981.
He was graduated from Ankara University with a bachelor degree on "Business Economics" in 2003 and from Istanbul Technical University with MBA degree on "Economist-Manager" in 2005. During 2005-2015 years he has held various managing positions at “Bank of Baku” OJSC and from 2015 to 2016 was Chairman of the Management Board at “Bank of Baku” OJSC.
In 2017 he was appointed as First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of "ABB" OJSC and since December 2018 is Chairman of the Management Board at "ABB" OJSC.

Born in 1977. In 1997 graduated from the History faculty of Baku State University. In 2001 received a master's degree from the Institute of Social Sciences of Istanbul University. In 2004 graduated from the Finance and Credit Faculty of Azerbaijan State Economic University. Having 20 years of experience in the banking field, Ilham Habibullayev has worked in various banks at different positions. In 2010-2017, served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Expressbank, and from 2017 to September 2019, as Chairman of the Board of this bank. In September 2019, was appointed Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of the Bank ABB on strategic projects. Since March 2020, holds the position of the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the "!Bank ABB" OJSC.

Agshin Zekaray Amirov was born in 1978. Graduated from the Azerbaijan State Economic University, Faculty of Economic Regulation. In 2013-2014 he received an MBA from the London Business School in the UK. From 2004 to 2016, he held various management positions at Bank Respublika OJSC. Between 2007 and 2016, he has been a member of the Management Board and Deputy Chairman of the Bank. Since 2016, he has been the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Risk Administrator of ABB.

Elmir Shirin oglu Habibullayev was born in 1978. Graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Credit of the Azerbaijan State Economic University with a master's degree. In 2020, he completed the Duke University’s “Adaptive Strategic Execution Program”. Since 1998, he has held various positions at ABB. In 2013-2016, he was the General Director of the Bank. In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of ABB.

Nabi Etibar oglu Aliyev was born in 1984. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a master's degree in "International Economic Relations". Doctor of Philosophy in Economics. He received an MBA degree in Business Administration and Management from Oxford University in 2020.

In 2007–2016, he held various senior positions in the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, and in 2016–2018, in ABB. Since April 2018, is a Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Chief Financial Officer.

Taleh Agajan Tahirli was born in 1981. In 2003, graduated from Baku Engineering University, Bachelor of Business Administration. In 2006, received a master's degree in management at School of Business and Economics at the University of Gothenburg.

In 2007-2015 held various management positions at “Unibank”. In 2015–2018, held the positions of Director of Retail Banking and Marketing and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Bank.

Since July 2019, holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board and the Chief Transformation Officer at the ABB.

Vasif Eldar Ahmadov was born in 1961.

Graduated from Superior School of USSR State Security Committee, Diplomatic Academy of the Foreign Ministry of Russian Federation, Russian State Academy of the Insurance.

He worked as a Head of Department at the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan Republic since 1988, 1st Secretary of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russian Federation in 1996-2001, 1st Secretary at the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan at the Council of Europe in 2004-2007.

Held the position of the 1st Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at “Ateshgah Insurance Company" in 2008-2016.

He was the Managing Director of the ABB in 2016-2018.

Mr. Ahmadov was appointed the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Bank in 2018.  

Aynur Yalchin Suleymanli graduated from the Azerbaijan State Economic University with a bachelor's degree in labor economics and sociology and a master's degree in personnel management. In 2020, she completed Duke University's “Adaptive Strategic Execution Program”.

From 2005 to 2018, she held various management positions at AccessBank and was the Executive Director of the Bank. Since February 2018, she has been the Managing Director of ABB.

Fuad Islamov was born in 1969.

Graduated from the State University of Oil and Industry of Azerbaijan and from the State Economics University of Azerbaijan.

He worked at the State Research and Design Institute of Azerbaijan (1991) and at the Foreign Economic Bank of USSR (1992). Held various positions at the ABB.

Mr. Islamov was appointed the Managing Director of the ABB in 2011. 

Graduated from the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute of the Russian Language and Literature. Received a master’s degree in Finance and Credit at Azerbaijan State University of Economics. From 1995 to 2014, held various positions in Vostokbank, ABB, Bank of Baku and Bank Standard. Held positions of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Bank Standard from 2014 to 2016, Head of Risk Management at Bank VTB Azerbaijan from 2016 to 2018. In 2022, she completed the Duke University’s “Adaptive Strategic Execution Program”. 

Since 2018, is a Managing Director of ABB.

Born in 1977. In 2000 graduated from Ege University in Turkey with a degree in Computer Engineering. In 2009, received an MBA degree from Yeditepe University.

From 2002 to 2011, held various positions at Yapi Kredi Bank, and in 2011-2016 - Yapi Kredi Bank in Azerbaijan. He served as director of the bank’s information technology department, and then general director of information technology. From 2016 until his last appointment, was responsible for IT and digital transformation in subsidiaries of Yapı Kredi Bank, banks Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan, Yapı Kredi Bank Netherlands, Yapı Kredi Bank Malta, companies Yapı Kredi Factoring, Yapı Kredi Leasing, Yapı Kredi Asset Management. Since 2020, is the Chief Information Administrator of the ABB.
