The Baku Jazz Festival will once again take place in the capital on 24 October. This major cultural event of the autumn season is being held with the support of ABB Bank as a partner.
This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the Baku Jazz Festival. Founded in 2005 by renowned saxophonist and composer Rain Sultanov, the festival has become a bridge between cultures and jazz traditions over the years.
The festival will continue until 31 October. During this period, Baku will host performances by world-renowned jazz musicians.
As part of the festival programme, concerts, exhibitions, jam sessions, film screenings, master classes and seminars will be organised at various venues, ranging from open-air spaces to chamber halls. The festival will also feature meetings with renowned music bloggers from the United Kingdom and Switzerland, as well as panel discussions with international jazz experts.
This year’s festival programme also includes special master classes and concerts for young people with disabilities.
