ABB Bank Supports the International Collegiate Programming Contest as a Partner

29 August, 2025

The 49th World Finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) will be held in Azerbaijan from August 31 to September 5, 2025. ABB Bank, which actively supports digitalization in Azerbaijan, is also a partner of this major global event within the framework of the Azerbaijan Banks Association.

The competition is organized by the ICPC Foundation and hosted by ADA University, in partnership with the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in cooperation with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency and the ICPC Azerbaijan community, and with the support of PASHA Holding.

Around 140 university teams representing more than 70 countries will compete in the World Finals. During the five-day competition, young programmers will demonstrate their problem-solving, teamwork and programming skills.

Azerbaijani students have participated in ICPC regional contests since 2005. In 2024, students from ADA University qualified for the World Finals held in Luxor, Egypt, becoming the first team from Azerbaijan to achieve this milestone in the history of the competition. This year, Azerbaijan will be represented at the ICPC World Finals by teams from ADA University and Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS).

By supporting such important initiatives, ABB Bank contributes to the development of Azerbaijan’s digital ecosystem and helps enhance the knowledge and skills of the younger generation in the field of information technology.
